Mr. Wheeler's Homepage

Welcome!

My name is James Wheeler and from August 2013 until the end of May 2018 I taught Business and Technology Classes at Thatcher High School.

As part of my responsibilities I was also the Chapter Adviser for the Thatcher Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

The courses that I taught included:

  • Business Technology

  • Business in Action

  • Principles of Information Technology

  • Web Development and Design

  • Driver Education

In my classroom I made a concerted attempt to create an environment that prepared my employees, I mean students, for real-life Career and College scenarios.

In past years my Information Technology students redesigned, re-wired and completely set up one of the computer labs at the high school. As another "hands-on" real-world project we installed and upgraded the RAM (memory) on the lab computers as well.

In Web Development class the students learn to create both WYSIWYG and HTML5 web pages while implementing both Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript.

In Business classes we work hard to master the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, plan, develop and write Business Plans and all of the aspects that go along with running a business.
